The unworldly masterpiece known as A Course In Miracles, with all its uncompromising assertions of love and forgiveness, directs us to a very real physical, mental and emotional transformation of ourselves and the world, and the recognition that each of us is a whole part of the eternally creating source of all reality. The purpose of the spiritual mind-training of A Course In Miracles is to activate in us this experience of Singular Reality and to stimulate our recognition of it.

To convey the magnitude of A Course In Miracles is to communicate the final quantum leap in man’s evolutionary destiny. The heralding of this new age will be characterized by a new awareness in human consciousness transformed and freed from its current dependency on the paradigm of thought so tragically represented in our history by conflict and suffering.  

The Course accesses a technology of thinking that revolutionizes the paradigm of traditional problem solving within the human species. Until now we have had to be content with band-aid solutions, the proverbial rearranging of the deck chairs on the Titanic. Until now, we have watched how solutions always lead to more problems or merely change their form. The separated ones have invented many 'cures' for what they believe to be the 'ills of the world.' But the one thing they do not do is to question the reality of the problem. Yet its effects cannot be cured because the problem is not real. 

The transition from time to eternity is found in a continuing discovery of the present called a “Holy Instant”. This becomes a practice of the release of our own personal construction of conflict and the liberation from our own characterization of identity. Moreover, the action of the relinquishment of the past, or observed perception, has profound physical and psychological consequences 

The technology of this communication is what enlightened teachers have always taught. A Course In Miracles is presenting a thought system espoused by Jesus, but which extends beyond all religious boundaries. It was promoted by Socrates, delighted in by the masters of all eastern and western religious traditions, and is advocated, perhaps unknowingly, by present day quantum physicists in the recognition of the unreality of observed form.

Every great quantum discovery points to it. Neils Bohr tells us that the “fuzzy and nebulous world of the atom only sharpens into concrete reality when an observation is made”. From Einstein’s theory of relativity where time is relative to the observer, to Wheeler’s self-observing universe, it is clear that the world I see is a product of my own mind. No one argues the fact of it…that is, not until it comes to their own personal experience. 

What if I am totally responsible for the world I see? Never before have we had a blueprint of the step-by-step procedure of how the mind transforms, psychologically, theologically. Never before, have we had a psychological application for true change, true hope. For the thought system taught in A Course In Miracles is not based on conceptual content, but on its release. It is not based on what one is thinking but how one is thinking.
